Subject to conditions prescribed by the City of Sacramento, responses to Rudolph and Sletten, Inc.’s (R&S) (LICENSE # 198069) Prequalification, documents are sought for DBE and trade Subcontractors for the following project:

Prequalification Documents will be available beginning 01-03-2014 by submitting a request via the below form, via e-mail subject line, “SVS INTERMODAL PHASE II PREQUAL REQUEST” to or via fax to (650)599-9112 with the following information:  Company name, CA contractor’s license number, prequal contact phone number, prequal contact email address and the Bid Package(s) of interest.
Returned Prequalification Documents are to be received by 02-05-2014 at 12 PM.


 The Sacramento Valley Station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was originally constructed for the Southern Pacific Railroad and opened in 1926.  The depot features three bay massing, brick face walls, 35 foot high arched windows and Mediterranean style red clay tile roof.  The building is an example of the 1920’s Mediterranean/Renaissance Revival Style train depot incorporating elements of both Spanish and Italian Renaissance influence.  Please visit:  for more information regarding the project online. The Project site is located at 401 “I” Street, Sacramento CA 95814 and is an operating Amtrak Facility.

Construction includes but is not limited to: both interior and exterior improvements including reconfiguration of spaces to improve passenger flow, functional efficiencies and space usage; new bicycle services facility to accommodate 100 new bikes; new plaza facility to accommodate dining areas and cafes for passenger convenience; installation of modern, building systems for heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, lighting, vertical conveyance, way-finding and communications; repair of deteriorated elements; and restoration and rehabilitation of historic architectural features.
Construction shall also include completing all construction, systems commissioning, testing and obtaining all permits to provide the CITY with a fully operational facility consistent with the Contract Documents and requirements of this contract.

The estimated construction cost is $24,000,000.

Prequalification Documents due 02-05-2014 at 12pm to be opened in the R&S Roseville, CA office.

Bids due 03-18-2014.

This is a prevailing wage project.  All trade contractors will be required to use City of Sacramento’s online labor compliance program system, LCP tracker. All trade contractors will also be required to comply with the TIGER grant requirements:  The anticipated project duration is 24 months.
