CSULA Physical Sciences Bldg 12 Seismic & Building Systems Renewal with Tenant Improvement Project

 CSULA Physical Sciences, Building 12, is an eight-story high-rise tower with two levels of basement, totaling approximately 218,000 gross square feet.  The building consists of lecture halls, classrooms, offices, laboratories, lab support spaces, and storage. Building 12 was designed in the late 1960’s with final construction documents dated 1969.  Records show that the construction of the building was completed in 1972.

The scope of work for the above referenced project includes two phases of work.  The Seismic & Building Systems Renewal phase shall bring all structural systems up to the current and applicable codes and regulations and shall upgrade Physical Sciences, Building 12 to current building codes for high rise construction including but not limited to occupancy, fire and life safety, and accessibility.  The building’s plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunication systems are included in the project scope and shall be replaced in their entirety.
