The project will demolish two of the campus’ seismically incompliant buildings and replace them with a new 330,000-square-foot hospital spanning eight stories. It will be home to a new emergency department, larger operating rooms, and a first-of-its-kind inpatient behavioral health unit. The building will also include expanded and modernized operating rooms supporting the latest technology and care for cardiovascular services, neurosurgery, cancer, and orthopedic services; an expanded Intensive Care Unit, medical and behavioral health bed capacity; and improved dedicated space for patient and family support.
