Phase 1 – Library Annex Seismic Upgrade

This phase will install buckling restrained braced frames along with the perimeter of the east wing of the Library. The installation will require column strengthening, collector reinforcement and foundation augmentation. Weekend work and/or off-hours will be required to access the exterior wall from the inside of the building and install the bolts that ties into the exterior brace frames.

The Phase 1 Project Direct Construction Cost Budget is $ 3,792,000

The Phase 1 construction duration is 180 calendar days. 

Liquidated damages are $2,000 for each calendar day construction completion is late.

Phase 2 – Library Replacement Building 

This phase generally consists of a 70,000 ASF/100,000 GSF replacement building to house mainly library functions. The new building will be located at the northeast side of the campus, in close proximity to the Recreation and Wellness Center and Pioneer Heights Student Housing.

The Phase 2 Project Direct Construction Cost Budget is $70,000,000.

The Phase 2 construction duration is 730 calendar days. 

Liquidated damages are $5,000 for each calendar day construction completion is late.
